CLAN's Framework for Action
"Maximizing quality of life for all children living with chronic medical conditions in resource-poor countries of the world by supporting:
- Access to affordable medication and equipment
- Education (of children, families, health professionals, policy makers and the international community)
- Optimal medical management
- Family Support Group networks
- Alleviation of poverty by reducing financial burdens and helping families to find a pathway to financial independence
so that all members of the international community can enjoy healthy and happy lives, and know that their neighbours care."

* JFK lived with a chronic medical condition called Addison's Disease. It is similar in many ways to Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), a condition that all of the children in the above left photo have, and can be treated with hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone tablets (as in the photo above right).
